Among the states requiring a Sterilization Permit, Utah has unique requirements.In 2017, Utah became the first and only state to require sterilization permits for quilted apparel (filled products) and garments.The permit number must appear on garment labels, as well as on Uniform Law Labels for bedding, sleeping bags, and upholstered products.

Work with your down supplier to obtain the Sterilization Permit Number associated with the down used for each product style.This requirement must be confirmed and arranged during the bulk P.O. process, rather than at the time of shipment. Advance preparation is required.
