    Introduction to EMC Testing for Household Appliances

    With the rapid development of society, the number and variety of household appliances continue to increase to meet growing consumer needs. Household appliances have become essential products in every household. In the same power grid, multiple appliances often operate simultaneously. The interference signals generated by each appliance may affect nearby devices, potentially causing malfunctions, damage, and safety hazards. Therefore, the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) of household appliances is essential and receiving increasing attention.

     

     
     

    The electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) of household appliances includes electromagnetic interference (EMI) and electromagnetic immunity (EMS).

    To ensure the safe and normal operation of household appliances, the European Union has implemented EMC regulations for these products. They must comply with applicable EMC standards and bear the CE marking before being sold in the European market.

    EMC The household appliance products subject to certification include:

    Electric kettles, electric water heaters, meat slicers, juicers, juice extractors, microwave ovens, solar water heaters, household electric fans, dish sterilizers, air-conditioner compressors, electric freezers, range hoods, gas water heaters, and more.
