Introduction to FCC Part 15

FCC Part 15, also known as Part 15 of 47 CFR under U.S. FCC regulations, specifies electromagnetic interference requirements for radio frequency devices (intentional and unintentional radiators), including conducted and radiated emissions. Radio frequency devices refer to any equipment capable of emitting radio-frequency energy through radiation, conduction, or other means during operation. Most electronic products fall under this category. According to this regulation, such electronic products must obtain FCC certification before entering the U.S. market.

Note: Infrared remote controls are not considered wireless remote controls and fall under Subpart B. Only FCC SDoC is required.
