    Introduction to FCC Part 15

    FCC Part 15, also known as Part 15 of 47 CFR under U.S. FCC regulations, specifies electromagnetic interference requirements for radio frequency devices (intentional and unintentional radiators), including conducted and radiated emissions. Radio frequency devices refer to any equipment capable of emitting radio-frequency energy through radiation, conduction, or other means during operation. Most electronic products fall under this category. According to this regulation, such electronic products must obtain FCC certification before entering the U.S. market.

    For equipment connected to the public AC power supply through a power cord, any RF voltage within the frequency range of 150 kHz to 30 MHz, or any RF voltage fed back through the power cord, shall be measured using a 50 μH/50 Ω Line Impedance Stabilization Network (LISN). The specified limits shall not be exceeded during measurement.

    Subpart C Applicable products, namely those with wireless remote control. ( Need to do FCC ID) Includes:

    Including door access card readers, bus fare card readers, wireless chargers, remote-controlled toys, wireless mice, remote switches, wireless doorbells, anti-theft devices, Bluetooth speakers, Wi-Fi Unmanned aerial vehicles, smart home products.

     

         

     

         

     

    Note: Infrared remote controls are not considered wireless remote controls and fall under Subpart B. Only FCC SDoC is required.
