ISO 18071:2016 Fine Ceramics (Advanced Ceramics, Advanced Technical Ceramics) — Determination of Antiviral Activity of Semiconducting Photocatalytic Materials under Indoor Lighting Environment — Test Method Using Bacteriophage Q-β
ISO 18061 specifies a test method for evaluating the antiviral activity of materials containing photocatalytic materials or coated with photocatalytic films by measuring the reduction of bacteriophage Q-β after ultraviolet irradiation.
ISO 18061 is intended for various types of semiconducting photocatalytic materials used in building materials. These materials are generally manufactured in flat shapes, such as plates, panels, or boards, which represent common forms used in practical applications.
ISO 18061 does not apply to powdered, granular, or porous photocatalytic materials.
ISO 18061 is applicable to photocatalytic materials used for antiviral applications. Other functional properties of photocatalytic materials, including antibacterial activity, antifungal activity, decomposition of water pollutants, self-cleaning performance, anti-fogging performance, and air purification performance, are not evaluated by this test method.
ISO 21702-2019 Measurement of antiviral activity on plastics and other non-porous surfaces
ISO 21702 specifies a test method for measuring the antiviral activity of plastics and other non-porous surfaces treated with antiviral agents against specific viruses.Due to differences in viral characteristics and sensitivity, results obtained using one test virus may not necessarily be applicable to other viruses.
ISO 18184-2019 Textiles — Determination of antiviral activity of textile products
ISO 18184 specifies a test method for determining the antiviral activity of textile products against specific viruses.Due to differences in viral characteristics and sensitivity, results obtained using one test virus cannot be directly applied to other viruses.
Textile products covered by this standard include woven fabrics, knitted fabrics, fibers, yarns, and braided materials.
Technical Standard for Disinfection (2002 Edition) — 2.1.1.10 Virus Inactivation Test
This method is mainly applicable for the evaluation or routine monitoring of disinfectant products. Representative live viruses and cell infection techniques are used to evaluate the inactivation efficacy of disinfecting agents against test viruses.Tests conducted according to this method only verify an important aspect of the virus-inactivating capability of disinfecting agents.
