What is the Seal of Acceptance?
The Seal of Acceptance is a recognition granted to skincare products and services that have been reviewed and approved by NEA for their safety and suitability for individuals with eczema or sensitive skin. Which products are eligible for the NEA Seal of Acceptance?

NEA Seal of Acceptance Application Process
1.Confirm whether the product falls within the eligible category.
2.Ingredient review: Provide a complete list of all ingredients used in the product, including potential allergens, irritants, or sensitizers, and confirm whether any ingredients appear on the Eczema Ingredient Exclusion List.
3.Submit application: Complete the application form, including detailed information about the product, ingredients, formulation, test results, and supporting documentation.
4.Clinical testing: To apply for the Seal of Acceptance, one of the following tests must be submitted: Human Repeat Insult Patch Test (HRIPT), Cumulative Irritancy Test (CIT), or Safety in Use (SIU). At least one test is required per product.
5.Document submission: Submit all required compliance documents such as Safety Data Sheets, laboratory reports, and certificates of analysis.
6.Product sample submission: The client arranges shipment of product samples to the NEA organization.
7.Review and evaluation: The certification body reviews documentation and evaluates samples to determine compliance with Seal standards.
8.Notification and seal usage: If the product meets the required standards, the company will be notified and authorized to use the Seal of Acceptance on packaging, marketing materials, and websites to indicate suitability for eczema or sensitive skin.
9.Renewal process: The Seal may require annual renewal or updates depending on changes in product formulation or regulatory updates.
