GB/T 20390.1:2006 Objective
This standard specifies the test method for assessing the ignitability of bedding items when exposed to a smouldering cigarette.
GB/T 20390.1:2006 Scope of Application
This part applies to bedding products, including bedspreads, sheets, duvet covers, blankets, quilts and quilt covers, pillows, pillowcases, mattress protectors, and similar products.It should be noted that this part does not apply to mattresses, bed bases, or mattress pads.
GB/T 20390.1:2006 Test Method
The specimen is placed on the test substrate, and a smouldering cigarette is positioned on either the upper or lower surface of the specimen. The occurrence of progressive smouldering or flaming combustion is observed and recorded.
