    Test Method

    EN 597-1 & EN 597-2: The test specimen may be either a finished mattress or a small-scale model. The ignition sources used are a standard smouldering cigarette and a gas flame equivalent to a match flame.

     

      

     

    BS 7177: In addition to the combination tests required for different hazard levels, the filling materials shall also be tested separately. According to BS 5852, an appropriate ignition source shall be selected based on the type of filling material.
